I have officially joined the WAHD (Work At Home Dad). I don’t know any other dad driven bloggers out there. I’m a member of one.

Anyway, I think I’ll start a little weekly tidbits of my daddy life.

Appliance Challenged

I do web development and design for a living. I play with tons of little electronic gadgets like night vision goggles for walking Oreo in the dark. I spend about 1-2 hours playing video games every night. So you could easily say I’m in tune with technology. But I do not understand how to operate our Advent bottle sanitize. It looks like a rice cooker and to this day I still cannot figure out. It’s even more insulting that I’m Filipino–It’s a staple of the asian diet. To my defense, I’ve been washing tons of laundry on our new washer and dryer set.

Milk Taste Testing

I’ll admit it. I tasted my wife’s breast milk. It was actually pretty tasteless. Much like watered down milk w/o any sugary taste. In contrast, the Similac soy milk formula smells like french fries and tastes like sweat socks.

Big Grunting Baby

I have several nicknames for my little boy and the latest one is BGB (Big Grunting Baby). He has a grunt for everything. Pick him up, “ehhhhhh”. Put him down, “hehe”. Now I purposely move him around just to hear him grunt. Very cute.

Craigslist's Bargains - Would You Buy Here?

I've been browsing through the Craigslist classifieds and found some really great deals on a few baby items, but I shudder the thought of ever putting my child near these used items. For example, Similac Advance Infant Formula 12.9oz costs $13.99 at Babies R Us. It can be found on Craigslist for as low as $7. I wouldn't mind saving money, but I reluctant to trust formula from a stranger. Read More
